Based in the far west of Cornwall, Cornwall Underground Adventures is a brand new business set up to provide you with the chance to experience the Duchy’s historic mines first hand. Allowing you to explore deep mine shafts and ancient tunnels that reveal the hidden underground world of Cornwall’s tin mines.
Cornwall Underground Adventures is new for summer 2019 meaning you could be among the first to experience this unique side of Cornwall. We hear from owners Matt George and Ben Sumpter who tell us: “We’re excited to announce our new underground adventures, providing you with the opportunity to explore Cornwall’s mines in their authentic condition as they were left when the miners downed tools, in some cases hundreds of years ago!” This is a first for Cornwall, allowing you to explore the Duchy’s mines through a unique and adventurous underground experience and providing you with the chance to visit places and see a side to Cornwall that even most locals don’t know about!
There are different levels of adventure available, from purely historical surface tours to simply walk in, walk out mines or (if you’re brave enough) full blown vertical caving trips where you can abseil down vertical pitches and use ropes to cross gaping chasms. Brought to you by a group of passionate mine explorers and historians, you’re set for an adventure that won’t be forgotten for many years to come as you visit awe-inspiring places that will leave you jaw-dropped and with memories that will last a lifetime. The experienced team are qualified to lead people in the nderground environment so you can rest assured that you’re in safe hands and no need to worry about equipment as it’s all provided for you.
